General informations
The New Componit rubber compensators, thanks to their advantages of great flexibility under all conditions, are precious allies in solving many problems in industrial plants, in both ship building and civil fields.They allow damping vibrations, attenuating noise and water hammers, compensation for expansion, misalignment and assembly errors, while they absorb settling movements of ground and structures.They exhibit good resistance against pressure, heat and corrosion; they ensure metallic discontinuity and protection against stray currents. Lastly they are easy to handle and install while they are cost-effective.
Construction and design
The New Componit rubber compensators are manufactured with any possible type of rubber, depending on the application and fluid conveyed, such as: NBR, EPDM, Cloroprene, Hypalon, Viton.The New Componit standard rubber expansion compensators are manufactured, from DN 25 to DN 800, through an automatic "modelling" process which ensures a high standard of quality and repeatability. Special compensators are made to order for very large dimensions, also in the case of multi-corrugations and taper.
